For Campers & Guests
What to bring
Pack light, pack smart — and label everything.
Bring this
- Bible, notebook, and pen
- Shorts, t-shirts, and casual clothes for evenings
- Very messy clothes — some may come home permanently stained; that’s a sign of a good week
- One-piece swimsuit and a plastic bag for wet items
- Bedding — twin sheets or a sleeping bag — plus a pillow
- Towels (pool and shower) and personal hygiene items
- Sunscreen, insect repellent, and a flashlight
- More than one pair of shoes (see “messy clothes,” above)
- Snacks and a little spending money for the gift shop
Leave this at home
- Cell phones — please don’t send one with your child; a week unplugged is half the magic, and we’ll call you right away if anything comes up
- Firearms, weapons, alcohol, tobacco, and anything else you’d expect on this list
Questions about a specific camp’s list? Call (337) 457-9047 — some hosted camps send their own.
